General Information

Click the links on the right to find out more about the cottages, Sidmouth and local attractions.

The cottages are located on Core Hill, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just ten minutes drive from the pretty seaside town of Sidmouth with its beaches, promenade and Regency architecture.

Sidmouth has a myriad of interesting independent shops, coffee shops and restaurants, and even has a superb little traditional cinema! For music lovers, one of the UK's best folk festivals, Sidmouth Folk Week, takes place in the town in early August.

For those who enjoy walking, the town is on the doorstep of Britain's longest and most popular National Trail, the South West Coastal Path.

Excellent Fish and Chips aside, there are plenty of great places to eat locally including the Salty Monk in Sidford or for those who are happy to venture a little bit further, Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's River Cottage Canteen in Axminster, cosy Gastropubs The Holt and The Railway in Honiton or Mark Hix's Oyster and Fish House in Lyme Regis are all within 30 minutes drive.

The cottages are ideally located for exploring the Jurassic Coast. For shoppers, the historic Cathedral City of Exeter with its great shopping and restaurants and the antiques mecca of Honiton are both only 30 minutes drive.
